Monotype Workshop:  Printmaking Without A Press

Reference Material: Bring in your photos, sketches, and/or flowers to paint. Landscapes, still lifes, and figures all make great monotype subject matter.

Student to bring these materials:
Small and medium pointed brushes
Paper plates for missing ink
Pencil, ruler, and scissors..to measure and cut paper
A plastic Ziploc bag to store damp paper
Paper towels
Colored pencils, watercolor, and/or gouache used to rework prints
(optional) plastic coated roller to help transfer ink to the paper. This may also be done by hand.

Student to pay additional supply fee to instructor on day of workshop:

Water-based printing ink: $5 fee to use Jan's ink, or bring your own small tubes of Speedball printing ink.

Paper: Must register by Monday, Aug. 9, to be included in Jan's group order for paper, or bring your own.

• Strathmore 300 series Bristol Board Pad (20 sheets) -- $3.89
• BFK 8-1/2 x 11 print paper (2 sheets) - $3.60
