I have always loved art, but my work has expanded and taken on new meaning over the last few years. Shortly before my sophomore year my mother was killed. After that happened, my artwork has meant so much more to me and has been a kind of therapy for me. I just love how I can express my feelings visually like to work in many mediums but my favorite is graphite. I feel like I have the most control over it and I can get the realistic effect that I love so much

I plan to further my art education in school next year by attending either Maryland Institute College of Art or Virginia Commonwealth University. After I graduate I hope to work as an illustrator in a design firm that will allow me to have the artistic freedom that I have now. My art will always play a huge part in my life. My favorite art project would have to be the one I am currently working on which is my concentration for my AP Studio class. I love it because I am able to come up with the relating ideas and work with it through my own thoughts. My concentration has to do with my mother and my feelings related to the accident.
