TCAG ART SCHOLARSHIPS

Congratulations to our 2011 TCAG Art Scholarship Recipients.  Four Art Scholarships totaling $2,000 were awarded to Courtney Abbott, Lafayette High School, Jenna Andersen and Kaitlyn Baker, Bruton High School, and Lindsey Lord, Jamestown High School. Congratulations to the students and their teachers!

Each Spring, This Century Art Gallery awards Art Scholarships to Graduating seniors in the Williamsburg, James City County and Bruton District of York County School Districts, including home-schooled students residing in these districts.

The scholarships are awarded to the high school seniors who best demonstrate an ability in art and are planning to continue their education at the college level in the Fall with art as a major interest.

To apply for the scholarships, students should complete the TCAG Art Scholarship Application Form or (.PDF) and submit it along with a Digital Portfolio (CD or Thumb-drive) of 8-15 pieces representing their recent art work to This Century Art Gallery by 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012 . Two letters of reference are also required. The portfolios will be reviewed by a jury committee, and finalists may be invited for an interview. All portfolios will be returned.

Gallery hours are Tuesday - Sunday, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
