About the Art:
The front of the violin is a colorful floral galand on a gold ground.
The back of the violin is a still-life composition featuring a
nightingale sitting on a goblet with an evening landscape behind
her. The view is from the interior of a room, looking out the
window.
The winning raffle ticket for this violin was drawn on November 10, 2004.
About the Artist:
Growing up as part of an Air Force family, Apryl has been a member of the Williamsburg community for over 30 years.
In 1993 she began her career as a muralist and decorative artist. Four years later she began studying watercolors under
Ann Murphy Armstrong and has continued her studies independently as well as through additional classes and workshops.
Her watercolors are occasionally on exhibit at This Century Art Gallery.
