About the Art:
A summer idyll in Asia is depicted with enamels on a gold leaf background.
The design features a female figure in colorful silks, a blue dragon,
and white cranes. The landscape surrounding these figures includes
water, trees, iris, grasses, and a butterfly. The violin becomes
an oriental pastoral panorama.
The winning Auction Bid for this violin was announced on
November 10, 2004.
